We complain about corruption in India. Come join for us a talk on what is being done to address corruption and other issues in Tamil Nadu by Jayaram Venkatesan, a UC alumnus who is now a full-time social activist.
The talk entitled “Transparency and Accountability of Governance in India” is on Monday, Oct 14 at 7 pm in the NrityArpana Studio, 9076 Cox Rd, West Chester, OH 45069. The talk will be followed by a FREE dinner at Swagat restaurant (opposite the NrityArpana Studio)

Bio – Jayaram Venkatesan
Jayaram did his Master’s in Electrical Engineering at the Univ of Cincinnati and worked as Vice President of Countrywide Research Division in Los Angeles. His deep interest in social work brought him back to India in 2007. Since then, he has been involved in bringing about changes in Governance, Water Issues, Primary Education and Agriculture. Jayaram is the Co-founder and Convener of Arappor Iyakkam, a people’s organization with the goal of achieving a just and equitable society. Arappor’s efforts has led to better governance of local bodies and the restoration of lakes such as Villivakkam in Chennai. Arappor Iyakkam has conducted more than 50 workshops
